Day 20
WEEK 3 Day 6

April 3, 2021

Two more days Until Resurrection Day. I love this time of year, don’t you? The season of that which was dead comes alive. God’s creation blooms the colors of His glory for us all to witness. It’s where heaven and earth respond to the extending light of God as daylight expanding our days. What causes heaven and earth come together? Is there a time when or a place where they meet? Meet is the M in our acrostic for today. It simply means to come in the presence of. I challenge you to keep this is in mind, when you meet a new person or any really, there is always an opportunity experiencing the presence of God Himself. This is my goal but I’m not there yet. Bible project.com writes, “When mankind chose sin over God, the earth became a ruined and imperfect place. (heaven and earth no longer had one emphasis in mind). The tabernacle was next where animal sacrifices became the next temporary solution for reuniting God’s realm with ours. God’s permanent solution was His Son Jesus Christ. The time of Jesus death was when the heaven and earth realms began to collide. The place was the Cross of Jesus Christ. I feel the meeting of God and man just began there and continues still today.

On our timeline on The Holy Calendar, last night was Good Friday. Jesus had given His last breath and committed His spirit unto the Father. Read Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23 or John 19. John 19:30 Jesus said, “It is finished.” Then the veil tore from top to bottom, in the temple. The earth shook violently and the rocks were rent, that veil was torn because there was a meeting between The Lord and His lost sheep between the realm of glory and the realm of man. The presence of God once again redeeming creation for His purpose: fellowship, relationship, intimacy. Joseph of Arimathea begs for Jesus body for a proper burial laying His body to rest in the tomb.

While Jesus was in the tomb what was happening? Another meeting this, time between death, hell, and the grave. Revelation 1:18, reads, “I am He who lives and was dead, and Behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and death.” To be clear Jesus physical body was dead but His spirit is still very much alive. One thought is that His Spirit was declaring His victory over Satan and his hosts. Colossian 2:15 says, “He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.” My Dake’s Annotated Reference bible references the Greek word “apekduomai” as completely stripping right off or thoroughly renouncing any power. Satan thought he had taken Jesus’ authority from Him. Can you imagine Jesus coming to the devil and literally stripping all of what had been stolen from Him? Picture when a person uses hot wax to remove unwanted hair and then it is immediately yanked off, times 1,000,000. Ephesians 4:8 (ESV) mentions the other, “Christ led a host of captives.” All the departed souls of the saints from Abel to Christ, who were waiting under the earth in paradise as prisoners of Satan himself waited from Jesus to conquer death, hell, and the grave. All at once these living souls were taken to their permanent new spiritual dwelling in Heaven. Never having to be held captive again but now wait for the resurrection of the body. This is so exciting to me Satan stripped of what power he thought he had ….gone. I think it would look like devil is on the ground and Jesus places His foot right into his Adam’s apple so Satan cannot even speak a word. At the top of His voice, Jesus says” Death is no longer yours but mine. Hell will not prevail against my Kingdom any more. The grave has been rendered powerless and no longer belongs to you. Give me the keys to what rightfully belongs to Me because, “Ain’t no grave is gonna hold My Body Down.” It’s my Turn, Victory is Mine. Death you have no sting. I have swallowed it up because my Blood was shed for every sinner’s soul to be free. They all belong to Me. You cannot have them. I loved them enough to sacrifice my life so they can live with Me forever. I return alive to bring life eternal back to their hearts.” Jesus removes His foot and in a flash His Spirit returns for the angels to remove the stone. They meet once again where heaven meets man on the road to eternity. Amen to that, my friends.

Let’s prayLord Jesus tomorrow is Resurrection Day. I sit here and ponder on all You have taken for me and from me. I marvel at Your strength and unconditional love which shed Your blood for me. I love you Lord so much and desire to return that love in kind, knowing that always You will never stop saying You are mine. May I never stop being grateful for the victory which removed deaths sting and renouncing the power Satan had over my life. Jesus, my Lord and Savior I come to meet with you at this pivotal point. The intersection of heaven’s touch the earth to fulfill Your will. Let Your kingdom manifest and create a meeting with not just one but all who need to know You all over again tomorrow. In Jesus name, Amen
