We truly miss being with everyone in church today, I realize God’s grace, strength, and love is with us in each of our homes this morning. I wanted to share a thought with everyone for the day.
We love you all!
As I look across the deep blanket of snow, covering all the imperfections in the sidewalks and all the inconsistencies in the lawns to make just a perfect, beautiful, white blanket, perfect and pristine, my mind went to the words of the psalmist David in Psalm 51.
“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, And blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.”
Psalm 51:5–12 KJV
Whiter than snow!
We can all clearly relate today!
We see how all the imperfections and ugliness is covered by something so beautiful!
Like our sins were cleansed by the blood of Jesus!
We are reminded of four things:
First, we are reminded of the depth of God’s love. Secondly, we are reminded of his abundant mercy! Thirdly, we are reminded of his boundless grace! Fourth, we are reminded of the power of his forgiveness!
God’s mercy allowed us to escape what we deserved, death because of sin!
God’s grace allowed us to receive what we didn’t deserve, total forgiveness, and life eternal!
Lets worship Him today that we are”Whiter than Snow!
We can all see this eternal truth illustrated outside today!
Praying you all. Have a blessed day! Stay warm! Stay safe! We love you all on this beautiful snow covered Lords day!
